Martha Rosler gives a lecture on the occasion of the book launch of Concerning War: A Critical Reader. Martha Rosler is an eminent artist, critic, writer, and activist who has dealt extensively with crucial issues such as global conflict, the manipulations of mass media, gender, and democratic action.

Concerning War: A Critical Reader presents new and anthologized texts by artists and writers who analyze the possibilities for critical artistic responses to the contemporary world as a site of global war. With contributions by Ross Birrell, Boris Buden, Jordan Crandall, Bregje van Eekelen, Boris Groys, Viktor Misiano, Irit Rogoff, Martha Rosler, Sean Snyder, and Hito Steyerl.

This publication is the final part of the multifaceted project Concerning War, which included the exhibition Soft Target. War as a Daily, First-Hand Reality and Undercurrents, a series of symposia and talks, and took place in 2005-2006. Concerning War… is the first publication in the BAK Critical Reader Series.
